Responsible of heading the technical and administrative aspects of the Water and Mineral Resources Area. Directly supervise the operations of a Design Division, Construction Division, Planning Division, Geology Division, Administrative Office, Recreational Facilities and a Water Reservoir control office. Coordinate with the project managers, the supervision of several flood control projects in Puerto Rico. See Addendum 1.
Project Manager(Project Coordinator) -July 2003 to present
Coordinate the design, construction, permit procedures and land acquisitions related to several projects proposed by the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACOE). Revise construction plans and specifications of large-scale flood control projects, prepared by our consultants. Perform technical inspections of environmentally affected sites, and coordinate the restoration of rivers and streams. Respond to requests from municipalities when help is needed to solve flood and erosion problems. See Addendum 1a.
Infrastructure Specialist April 2002 to Sept. 2002
Fluor Corp, San Juan, Puerto Rico
Prepare construction plans of the temporary facilities and access roads of a proposed $600 million Chemical Plant built with modules. Work with the site logistics and construction phases of the project.
Design Engineer June 1998 to June 2001
Gregory L. Morris & Associates, Old San Juan, Puerto Rico
Work on the infrastructure design of the innovative project, Monte Carlo Resort Development; a $1 billion, 1,000 acre, environmentally friendly resort. Tasks include: site design, cost estimates, and permits. Worked on the highway design, storm sewer system, sanitary sewer system, pumping station, waste water treatment plant, potable water system and grading. Reviewed mechanical, electrical, and structural designs. See Addendum 2
